Cycle routes in Baswich

Did you know that the Baswich/Weeping Cross/Wildwood/Walton/ Walton-on-the Hill communities are served by an excellent cycle route to the town centre, through pleasant countryside which is virtually traffic free? You can cycle from Baswich to town in about 15minutes, Weeping Cross and Wildwood take a minute or 2 longer. The route is flat and scenic, and mostly off road.

A group of local cyclists have kindly volunteered to provide support, information or company on  the route. Ring 07870 930 754 for help.

Bicycles require no road tax, no MOT, no insurance, no licensing, no breakdown recovery services, no fuel bill and, above all, don't emit any pollutants. And you do not have the problem of finding a car parking space.

Regular cycling, such as to and from work or school, can be an easy way to achieve the recommended ‘half an hour a day’ of physical activity for health. Cycling reduces the risk of serious conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure, some cancers, obesity and the most common form of diabetes.
